The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz: Covenant
The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz: Covenant
Introduction
Based on our belief, the only way to recover land, sovereignty, and oppressed rights from the Iranian occupation in Al-Ahwaz, is the mass revolutionary struggle. From the numerous ongoing uprising and revolutions that was set by the people of Al-Ahwaz to express their rejection, regret, and condemnation of the unpleasant reality of occupation since the year 1925, it has become a firm belief to this dedicated people that they must continue the revolution through all its struggle stages through awareness, mobilization, preparation, and readiness to fight a battle of honor, victory, liberation, and to establish the independent Arab country of Al-Ahwaz.
The long fight experiences that the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz had gone through with the racism policies of Iran, including: deprivation, humiliation, elimination of the national identity of the Arabs. Additionally, the Al-Ahwazi people are deprived from their most basic legitimate human rights; such as prohibiting them to use their native language and enforcing the Persian language in all educational facilities and government departments; however, the Persian occupier does not acknowledge their fair case.
Moreover, they replaced all the original names of cities, villages, and Arab neighborhoods with Persian names. They also prevent Arab people of Al-Ahwaz to wear their tradition clothing, and name their children Arabic names. Furthermore, they implemented new settlement projects and brought in Persian settlers from different part of the Persian country and gave them many privileges such as housing, employment, welfare, and various services at people of Al-Ahwaz’s cost. In contrast, displacing the Arabs from their land, not only wasn’t enough for the Persian occupier, still they got engaged in exterminating practices against the Arabs.
The Persian occupier has been depriving Al-Ahwaz’s nation from their wealth and resources besides abducting their agricultural lands under the excuses of implementing government and other racism projects by the mullahs' regime. This regime’s practices not only have proven to be more abhorrence with cruelty than the buried shah's regime, they are more dangerous towards the Arabs as well. During which the racial structure claim themselves as a loyal defender of Islam and the Arab nation’s issues mendaciously; while the system collaborated with United States on the occupation of Iraq, Afghanistan and occupied United Arab Emirate. The Persian regime works to undermine security and stability of the region through the obnoxious Safawian biased project, which intent to secede the Arab nations by implementing strives between their people to satisfy the dreams of the Persian Empire.
The violent and brutal behavior of this enemy with our fare case has become clear to everyone; at the same time our people strongly determined to continue to fight the battle of Arab honor to prove their existence and identity by facing the Persian enemy “the most powerful terrorism forces in the world” which mandate us and every honorable Arab activist that believes in the principles of the glorious Arab nations, the divine religions, and moralities in Al-Ahwaz or elsewhere, to contribute to the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz, the land and people from the oppressive Persian occupation.
Al-Ahwazi struggle progress against the Persian occupier:
Our combatant people, through their long struggling history with the Persian occupier, fought several battles with various objective and subjective conditions. Al-Ahwazi people went through series of uprisings and revolutions since the early days of the heinous occupation; nevertheless, it contemplated to be a tribal spontaneous attitude. These revolutions continued until the mid-forties; from there, the Al-Ahwazi struggle utilized the oriented organizational, political, and military path by establishing Saadeh party, the first Al-Ahwazian regulation based division led by the martyr Haddad and a group of young conscious people to spread the nationalism at that time. Similarly, in the mid-fifties, The Front Liberation of Arabistan (Al-Ahwaz) was formed and produced the Supreme National Committee directed by the leader Mohyeldeen Al-Nasser in 1956. After that, the Al-Ahwaz rebels, triumphed in their organizational work and formed numerous revolutionary factions including: The Front for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz; The Arab Front for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz; and other militant factions.
Correspondingly, our vigorous people actively participated in the revolution of 1979 to unseat the Shah's regime. They had confidence in achieving their goals and rights through the peaceful political action. Even though the Persian revolution claimed the compliance to the Islamic law and its path of dealing with peoples' issues through non-discrimination between Arabs and Persian away from the ethnic and national affiliations; however, our people were surprised by Khomeini and his racism regime for refusing all nation’s necessities and defeating them with fire and iron (weapon).
As the selected public and political forces met to claim the Arab people’s rights in Al-Ahwaz, it began with Sheikh Muhammad Tahir Shabeer Alkhaghani and his national forces petition. In addition, The Shikh assigned them to meet with Khomeini and his government officials in Tehran and give their petition; but, the racist leader of the Persian revolution refused the just and legitimate requests of the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz! He denied the legitimacy of the Al-Ahwazian issue to benefit the Persian revolution and protect their national security nevertheless, he ordered the governor of the Al-Ahwaz military, the felon Ahmad Madani, to commit a horrendous inhuman crime. He killed more than 300 people including women, children, elderly’s and young men; also, arrested thousands in three days known as the Carnage Mohamara “the black Wednesday” that take place on May of 1979. The Persian revelation led to the disappointment of the oppressed people in general, and particularly the Al-Ahwazi Arabs since they had to sacrifice a lot for its success. After Khomeini and his allies destabilized this revolution for their own chauvinism racism interests, it became apparent that this is far from Islam and its superior humanitarian principles.
Indeed, Khomeini and his clique’s egotism and their obnoxious attachment to racism, chauvinism, and their non-recognition of our people’s rights were not surprising, neither was a new phenomenon. The Persians possess a chauvinism and racism mentality with all its various intellectual and ideological backgrounds.
After two decades of the revolution, Khatami came with a reform project, raising false and deceptive clues, such as giving nationalities part of their usurped rights; in spite of the fact of Al-Ahwazi peoples acknowledgment to the Iranian deception and their vicious experience with this mysterious occupying enemy; nevertheless, our conscious youth took this opportunity and joined the political activities for two main reasons.
First: Taking advantage of this opportunity to raise national loyalty awareness among people; as well as breaking the fear barrier of participation in political activities.
Second: Confirming the Persian regime with their various political and ideological orientations does not differ from each other in facing people under their occupation; especially, the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz and their legitimate rights. In fact, they do not recognize anything that would help these people to get their legitimate rights through peaceful process.
April revolution excelled all Al-Ahwazi revolutions:
The racial discrimination behavior began to the extent of implementing ethnic cleansing policies by the Persian regime; at the same time, behind the scene, a document was brought to light from the President Khatami’s office. This document provides information about the displacement of Arabs to change the demographic nature of the region with Persian settlers. In addition, to take the Arab land and divest Al-Ahwaz from its intellectual and scientific resources through the removal of educated Arabs from their towns to Persian cities; while Khatami was proposing to reform the democracy!
It became clear to our people; there should be a public vigorous response to face these aggressive policies. Subsequently, the valiant April 15, 2005 uprising came outstanding to its previous uprisings; as it was driven by the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz to express their rejection and disappointment to the continued occupation and its racism plans. Since then, People of Al-Ahwaz pursuit popular resistance as a new struggle stage in all its methods including the armed struggle that evolved in this upraising which ended up with many martyrs, injured, and thousands arrested.
Based on the Persian malicious increase and their non-recognition of our basic rights, even those brought in the Iranian constitution, as well as the silence and failure of the Arabs and foreign countries intervention in regards to the Persian cruelty, murder, executions, displacement, and detention of the Al-Ahwaz’s men and women all together without any stoppage. Additionally, from the legitimate granted rights by all religious and customary regulations, we perceive the best but not the only way, to face and evict the Persians and free our land and get Al-Ahwazi people’s rights back through armed struggle, popular resistance, and adaptation of the continual mass uprisings and consolidating it to gain international recognition for our fair case as well as our usurped rights, so we can overthrow the Persian enemy from the Al-Ahwaz land.
According to the mentioned above, and by identifying our nation’s ambition to reach their goals to face the Persian arrogance, the Arab Struggle Movement for the liberation of Al-Ahwaz has launched as a public and national movement, also one of the Al-Ahwaz revolution parties, to articulate this ambition and work with all other parties of the revolution to continue the struggle in all its available means to restore the land, sovereignty, and usurped rights.
The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz fights for the restoration of land, sovereignty, and usurped rights through revolutionary strategy based on the following objectives and principles:
General Principles
First- The Land
Al-Ahwaz is the home of the ancient Elam civilization, the homeland of the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz with its clearly defined boundaries. It is bounded from the west, with the Republic Of Iraq; from the south, with the Arabian Gulf and the Omanian Sea; from the east and north, with Persia (Iran) up to the Zagros Mountains.
Second-The Nation
The people of Al-Ahwaz are Arabs. They are part of the Arab nation’s history, language, culture and identity.
Third-The Arabism and Religion
Arabism and religion are the obvious educational components of Al-Ahwaz’s community life and this applies to Muslims, who are the majority of the Al-Ahwaz society with respect to all other religious minorities like Sabea and Christianity.
The safavian sectarian regime’s project was hidden under the religion cover, to hide their lies and hypocrisy; however, it had a major role in the distortion of Islam and its superior principles. This regime’s project has misrepresented and distorted the true Sheat sect, which is based on the love of the family of the prophet, and used it as a way to thrust Islam and Arabism. This thrust was brought through the promotion of the Safavian sect project and targeting symbolic Arab and Muslims as well as whoever is related to the Khalefa Alrashedeen and helped in the liberation of the Arab land from the Persian invasion in the first Islamic victory by spreading the heavenly message in Persian land at that time.
Fourth-The Freedom and Liberation
The freedom of people of Al-Ahwaz is not their deliverance from the clutches of the occupation only; but, from all continues constraints of the social, cultural, political, and economical barriers to advance their life. Accordingly, this liberation contributes to the process of coming up with cultural and civilized society through free and democratic society that follows the development of the time. Based on this understanding, this Movement as a revolutionary movement has revolutionary, conscious, and vanguard men that will do the real effort to get rid of these conditions in a logical and realistic way so this nation will be strong and far from the bad conditions it had.
Fifth-The Democracy
In fact, the concept of freedom is directly associated with the concept of democracy in our present world. The democracy is an integrated political, social, and cultural process and its purpose to move from traditional society to a civilized democratic society. This transform can be obtained through free multilateral society choices.
Moreover, these choices determine the change in the political, social, and economical government pattern. That is adequate to the nature of the society and its formation. Correspondingly, this can be achieved through the establishment of civil and democratic institutions, political parties, trade unions, association, and others.
This requires us to give our national struggle a democratic dimension toward liberty and freedom. Without democracy, we cannot understand the modern world and openness to ideas, new visions, and to take what benefits us from the democratic world experiences, as proper as possible to the nature of our society and its social configuration in the midst cultural, economic globalization, and the accelerated civilization.
Sixth-The Community
The Al-Ahwazi people are Arabs and have a tribal community which mostly is traditional that represents the reflection of their adherence to the tribalism that left a lot of destruction among groups and individuals. Some of those destructions are: taking revenge, marriage prohibition and internal conflicts and many others. In addition to the enemy’s (Persians) policies in encouraging and fueling conflicts among our people, it is causing social and cultural awareness decline that still has a negative effect on the process of awareness, mass mobilization, and spreading the national liberation expression among the society.
Despite the evolution of lifestyle and introducing the industry, professions, and technology in people’s lives as well as the increase in communications and migration from the countryside to the city along with the demographic change caused by the racism immigration policies and the confiscation of land, that has changed some customs and traditions with negative values; nevertheless, there are more that still exist in the society which is a major obstacle to the renaissance of the society toward freedom, democracy and liberation.
Although tribes have done a lot to maintain the identity of Arab people of Al-Ahwaz in facing the chauvinism racism attack and their attempt to take the identity of Arab nationalism away; yet, it had many negative effects that reflected directly on the process of cultural evolution and civilization which is an obstacle on the individual’s freedom and his/her acceptance of the liberal and democratic ideas. We can circumvent the traditional and tribal society to a modern society by going through a civil renaissance revolutionary development project with open insights to goals and objectives of this renaissance revolutionary strategy. This project requires the availability of a broad intellectual strategy that constructs all Al-Ahwaz’s power in its various ideas and intellectual organizational background.
Seventh-The Women
The Al-Ahwazian Arab women suffered twice, on one hand the condition of the Persian occupation and their racism practices that left negative effects to the reality of women just like other segments of the society, on the other hand, the nature of the tribal and patriarchy society have prevented the women from a lot of her rights such as education and the right to participate and make a political decision in her society. However, the liberation of women and granting her full rights is a national duty. The Al-Ahwazi Liberation Movement must put the women’s liberation issue at the core of their programs and policies.
