#Ahwazna – Critical health condition of Ahwazi Arab political prisoners in Iranian prisons

According to human rights activists in Iran, health risk of numerous political and religious prisoners who held captive behind the bars of Iranian regime prisons is extremely worrying and at stake.

 In recent days, the human rights organizations have widely shed light on the worrying health risk of large number of Kurdish Political prisoners who went on an indefinite hunger strike in protest against the inhuman prosecution and degrading treatment they have been subjected at the hands of prison’s officials.

The organizations urged the Iranian despotic regime to abide and adhere to the local laws and the international conventions in regard to the basic rights of prisoners including the rights of prisoners in receiving medical care.

The human rights activists in a statement have released a partial list of name and identity of the patient political and religious prisoners who have been denied of receiving effective medical treatment in prisons around the country.

Among the announced list which comprised of 84 names of prisoners, there are 17 Ahwazi Arab political inmates’ names that have been mentioned as following:

1: Hussein Saborri is awaiting trial or sentencing and imprisoned prison of Mahshor city. Severe injuries and rupture in muscle and wrist nerve damage of his hand due to extreme torture by hanging upside down from fan ceiling.

2: Rasoul Mazreh is in Prison since 2007, serving 15 years imprisonment following exile to Yassuj prison. He is suffering from Prostate cancer and constant pain in his kidneys.

3: Taleb Sawari in Karoon prison, he is suffering from serious eye infection at the verge of losing his eyesight.

4: Ali Helfi is in prison since 2005, serving 30 years imprisonment following exile to south Korrasn province in Gonabad prison. He is suffering from ulcer and severe infection in his large intestine.

5: Gholam Abbas (Saeed) Saki is in Fajr (Dezful) prison since 2007. He is suffering asthma and allergies, backache, chronic pain and abnormal swelling in his both legs and blood pressure.

6: Ali Manbohi is serving his prison sentence in exile to Jiroft prison in Kerman province. He is suffering from diabetes and hyperlipidemia.

7: Rahim Afrawi is serving his prison sentence in exile to Jiroft prison in Kerman province. He is suffering from heart and diabetes diseases.

8: Jabber Sakhrawi is in Karoon prison, he is suffering from brain tumors and severe pain in his legs and poor eyesight.

9: Jalil Haidari in Karoon prison is and suffering from kidney stones and urinary tract infections.

10: Hassan Abeeat is in Karoon prison and suffering from gastrointestinal problems and ear infections.

11: Abdul-Imam Zairi is in Karoon prison and suffering from bleeding ulcer.

12: Adul-Amir Matouri is in Karoon prison and suffering from nerve convulsions.

13: Abdul-Zahra is in Karoon prison and suffering from chronic pains in his legs and also infection problems.

14: Ghazi Haidari is in Karoon prison and suffering from constant pain in the chest, ears, joint pains and muscle disease.

15:  Kazem Khosh Namk is in Karoon prison and suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes.

16:  Majid Sari is in Karoon prison and suffering from nerve convulsions.

17: Yahyeh Nasseri is in Karoon prison and suffering from heart diseases.
