The agency also stated that ‘’without understanding the realities of the Middle East, placing pressure on Iran will not result in gaining any achievement’’ (Fars News Agency, 30th January 2017:

Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran, Major general Ghasem Soleimani, the Iranian senior military officer in the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution

Axis of Resistance is part of the existence of the Islamic Revolution in Iran that the vast majority of the Iranian leaders have been chanting since 1979 (IRIB News Agency in Iran, 31st January 2017: http://www.iribnews.ir/fa/news/1488051/). Hence, Payam Mohseni and Hussein Kalout on 24th January 2017 stated that ‘’Iran's Axis of Resistance Rises’’ since 2006 during the war between Hezbollah and Israel. Therefore, both Foreign Affairs writers believe that the current USA Administration will be facing the Middle East under the Iranian Axis of Resistance (Foreign Affairs, https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/iran/2017-01-24/irans-axis-resistance-rises).

Fars News Agency also published that Iran is not only supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon, but Iran also supports Hamas and Jihad Islamic in Palestine, Iraqi current

Regime includes the Shia Militias, the Syrian regime and Al-Houthi in Yemen (Fars News Agency, 30th January 2017).

The Iranian movement in Middle East

Iranian intervention in Middle East has devastating repercussions on security in the region which has affected economy and political stability in four Arab countries, such as Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen, and Iran is also aggressively seeking to affect other countries such as Bahrain through the Militia Groups (MP. Mohamed Alammadi added that). Iran also has a direct impact on political affairs on the fourth countries that were mentioned through controlling the government, Iraq and Syria is an example (Dr Taghrid Alhajali, the previous Minister of Culture and Family Affairs in the Syrian interim government said that). Dr Alhajali also added that Iran foremost aim of its regional activity, particularly in the Middle East, is to dominate the political affairs in the Arab States, and even deliver an inimical impact on their security, economy, culture and strategy.

During the interview with Mohamed Alammadi, the Bahraini MP, said Iranian threats against the Gulf States are not recent. They began in wake of the revolution in Iran in 1979. Presently, the Iranian regime poses a threat to international peace in the Gulf region in two aspects: First- by supporting Non-State Actors (armed groups) in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen to influence the Arabian Gulf Nations and impact their economy, and their ability to control the Straits of Bab Al Salam (Hormuz), Bab el Mandeb in Yemen, as well as the maritime border in Syria and Lebanon. Second, Iran threatens the Gulf States by carrying out military exercises in the Gulf and threatening to close the Strait of Bab Al Salam (Hormuz) with the intent to harm the economy and stability of the Gulf States.

Iranian politicians and government officials release statements against the sovereignty of the Gulf States. For example, the statement released by the IRGC’s public relations officer, Brigadier General Ramadan Sharif, which stated that Iran should settle the crises in Bahrain and Yemen. At the same time, he attacked the other Gulf States, such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar (Anatolia News Agency, 18th December 2016).  Consequently, MP Mohamed Alammadi stated that the Brigadier General Ramadan Sharif’s speech on Yemen, Saudi Arabian and other Gulf States is an absolute interference in the internal affairs of Arab States. He further continued that Iran's nuclear program is posing an actual threat for regional security of the Arabian Gulf.

According to US State Department reports in 2014, Iran’s at the head of the list of State sponsors of terrorism which threat international security by supporting extremism and terrorism. At the same time, Iran’s nuclear program turned it into one of the most dangerous States in the world   (https://www.state.gov/documents/organization/239631.pdf). In very recent news that has published by Brett Wilkins in Digital Journal on 1st February 2017, ‘’the U.S. Congress may allow Trump to use military force against Iran’’. The “Authorization of Use of Force Against Iran Resolution," is sponsored by Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) and permits the president to wage war as he sees fit, with the goal of thwarting Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions.

In addition, Dr Taghrid Alhajali during the interview stated that the US in the previous governments has used political pressure against Iran, but the Trump administration certainly will face Iran and its sectarian project in the region more than the previous administrations’ in the USA. And also the United States will not allow Iran to be a regional power in the region and threaten the security of neighbouring countries. She also believed that Russia will not support Iran in the future conflict with Trump administration.
